     คนไทยที่เดินทางออกนอกประเทศในวันหนึ่งมีจำนวนไม่น้อย มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่แตกต่างกันไม่ว่าเพื่อการศึกษาท่องเที่ยวหรือวัตถุประสงค์อย่างอื่น สำหรับส่วนหนึ่งจะเดินทางออกนอกประเทศเพื่อทำงานคือ แรงงานในต่างประเทศ

     การเดินทาง Travel ทำงานในต่างประเทศของแรงงานไทย เป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่นำรายได้เข้าสู่ประเทศปีละหลายล้านบาท การออกไปทำงานมีหลายรูปแบบทั้งผ่านการจัดหางานของผ่านกรมแรงงาน  บริษัทเอกชน ติดต่อนายจ้างด้วยตนเองและไปทำงานกับคนที่รู้จักติดต่อกับนายจ้างที่ต่างประเทศ ซึ่งขั้นตอนที่ต้องถูกต้องทั้งหมดของการออกทำงานในต่างประเทศนั้นคือต้องให้ผ่านการทำเอกสารของกรมแรงงาน สำหรับผู้ที่ยังไม่เคยเดินทางออกนอกประเทศเพื่อไปทำงาน ทางกรมแรงงานจะจัดการอบรมระเบียบวิธีปฎิบัติของลูกจ้างที่อยู่กับนายจ้างในต่างประเทศ ข้อกำหนดเงื่อนไขของประเทศนั้นๆเพื่อให้ทราบระเบียบวิธีปฎิบัติตนในระหว่างการทำงานในต่างประเทศ

     การทำงานของแรงงานไทยในทุกที่ย่อมมีปัญหาจะแตกต่างกันมากน้อยแล้วแต่กรณี สำหรับแรงงานไทยในต่างแดนมีปัญหาที่ประสบที่เข้าพบปรึกษากับกงศุลหรือสถานทูต จำแนกได้ คือ

 1. ถูกเอาเปรียบจากนายจ้าง
           1.1 การรับค่าแรงไม่เป็นไปตามที่ตกลง
           1.2 ชั่วโมงการทำงานมากขึ้นโดยไม่คิดค่าล่วงเวลา
            1.3 สถานพักอาศัยไม่ถูกสุขลักษณะ
            1.4 ถูกบังคับขู่เข็ญให้ทำงานเกินความสามารถที่นอกเหนือจากกำหนด
2. ถูกหลอกให้ไปทำงานต่างประเทศ
         2.1 ถูกหลอกลวงถึงสนามบินที่หมายไม่มีนายจ้างหรือตัวแทนมารับเข้าที่ทำงาน
         2.2 ถูกหลอกลวงจากการให้ไปทำงานแล้วแต่ไม่ระยะเวลาทำงานทำไม่ใด้ตามกำหนด เช่น การทำงานในภาคเกษตรกรรมในแถบที่มีอากาศในประเทศแคนาดา ทางตอนเหนือของสหรัฎอเมริกา แถบสแกนดิเนเวีย ของยุโรป ที่สามารถทำงานทางการเกษตรได้ช่วงละไม่ถึงครึ่งปีและอีกครึ่งปีจะทำงานไม่ใด้เนื่องจากอากาศหนาวเย็น
3. มีความผิดจากการกระทำผิดต่อกฎหมายหรือข้อกำนด
4.วีซ่าการทำงานหมดอายุ ทั้งจากการหลบหนีจากนายจ้างเดิมหรือหลบเข้าเมืองโดยผิดกฎหมาย
5.อุบัติภัยทางธรมชาติเกิดขึ้นในประเทศ
6. ภาวะภัยสงครามจากการสู้รบ

     ปัญหาเหล่านี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่กงศุลหรือสถานทูตไทยประสบในต่างประเทศ บางปํญหาหาหน่วยราชการไทยอาจช่วยแก้ไขให้ได้แต่ประสบปัญหายากที่จะแก้ไขพึงระวังไว้กับการกระทำความผิดต่างๆ ซึ่งอันนี้ไม่ว่าที่ไหนก็ต้องยอมรับข้อกำหนดกฎเกณท์ ขอให้หลีกเลี่ยงและระวังการตกเป็นเครื่องมือของผู้ที่ไม่หวังดี พึงระวังของแรงงานไทยในต่างแดน

       สิ่งเหล่านี้คือปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นกับแรงงานไทยที่ทำงานในต่างประเทศ กรมการจักหงานส่งไปค่าใช้ง่ายดำเนินการจากบริษัทและแรงงานต้องมาทำกรมแรงงาน พอมีปัญหาเกิดขึ้นในต่างประเทศกรงศุลหรือสถานทูตกระทรวงการต่างประเทศรับแก้ปัญหาในต่างประเทศ ทราบตามนี้ไว้ครับ
