Terekeka อยู่ติดแม่น้ำไนล์ห่างจากกรุงจูบา เมืองหลวงไปทางตอนเหนือระยะทางประมาณ 70 กม. คณะออกเดินทางใช้รถออกเดินทางไปด้วยกันทั้งหมด 4 คัน ประกอบด้วยรถของท่านเลขานุการทูต ทีมงานสารคดีด้านการข่าว และรถของพนักงาน ABMC – THAI SOUTH SUDAN อีกสองคัน
การออกเดินเริ่มต้นแคมป์ที่พักหลักของคนไทยที่จูบาช่วงเช้าเวลาประมาณ 10 นาฬิกาเศษ ไปตามทางเส้นทางสายถนนสาย Y ลักษณะถนนช่วง 7.5 กม.แรกที่ออกจากเมืองหลวงเป็นถนนลาดยางสี่ช่องจราจร เส้นทางนี้เป็นเส้นทางหนึ่งที่มีการเร่งงานก่อสร้างเพื่อให้ทันการฉลองเอกราชประเทศ ซูดานใต้
ถนนช่วงหลังที่ต่อจากถนนลาดยางเป็นถนนลูกรังที่รอการก่อสร้างต่อจากช่วงแรก ถนนช่วงนี้สัญจรลำบาก การสัญจรในช่วงนี้ทำเวลาได้ไม่ดีนัก
